Working with James Murdock to build our new home has been a fantastic experience.

Our journey began with James long before we had a lot or a floor plan. James was present during each step, visiting potential lots, recommending architects and working with us during the design phase with the house designer. His input during this phase was extremely helpful, he lent insight into costs of design elements to keep us from designing something we could not afford.

As an interior designer, I have worked with many builders in the Austin area and I can confidently say that J Murdock Homes is in a class by itself. The attention to detail, the commitment to our design vision and willingness to try new things far surpasses any builder that I have worked with. His budget was realistic and accurate which makes the build process so much easier not having to worry about allowances being inadequate.

From beginning to end, J Murdock Homes went above and beyond to make our homebuilding experience pleasant. We would 100% use James to build another house if we ever were to do so, but for now we are enjoying our beautiful new J Murdock Home!

We purchased a new build from J Murdock Homes in March of 2022 and still haven’t stopped smiling about it. The quality of the build and attention to every single detail is masterful. The buying process and the walkthroughs with James, going over every corner and feature, was above and beyond what we expected. James is courteous, professional, and cares about his work and it is reflected directly into the house. Of the countless friends and family we’ve had over, they all react the same when taking that first step inside… “wow!”.

This was our first home build and we couldn’t have chosen a better builder than James! His honesty, knowledge, creativity and workmanship is unmatched. He made our dreams a reality! From start to finish, he made the entire process such a wonderful experience and was extremely organized throughout the entire build. He provided all receipts for every draw request and was very meticulous with all transactions and everything was accounted for. He truly cares about his clients. We wanted our hand prints in the concrete the day we poured our slab. He made sure to update us throughout the day so we knew when the concrete was ready for our hand prints. This was just one of the many examples of where James went above and beyond. He’s as honest as they come and just an all around genuinely good person! If this is what you’re looking for in a custom home builder, look no further than J Murdock Homes! I highly recommend James and would hands down use him if we ever built again! -The Edingtons

My fiancé and I have throughly enjoyed our home. James’s workmanship is amazing. He pays close attention to details. He is truly a master at his craft. James is pleasant to work with, quick to respond and handles things in a timely matter. He is honest and trustworthy. If I were to ever build a custom home again, I would most surely use James!
